The Turistik Kamkor Foundation reminded Kazakh citizens to verify the presence of TourCode before vacation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The foundation's specialists note that before departure, it is necessary to ensure that the tour is registered in the tourist guarantee system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and that a TourCode has been issued.
"TourCode confirms that your tour is protected by the guarantee system. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the system ensures the return of tourists to their homeland in accordance with current legislation," the foundation's statement reads.
There are three ways to check the presence of TourCode:
- 01through the official website of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 02through a special section on the website of the Turistik Kamkor Foundation;
- 03by directly contacting the tour operator and requesting the code.
Earlier, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports recommended that Kazakh citizens, before purchasing a tour from a travel agency, request and verify a package of documents confirming the legality of the sale and their legal protection.
First of all, it is necessary to ensure that there is a notification about the start of travel agency activities. The travel agency must be included in the state electronic register, which confirms its official status.
The most important stage is signing a contract for tourist services. The document must clearly state the country and dates of the trip, the full cost, payment and cancellation conditions, the responsibility of the parties, as well as the procedure for refunding funds.
Particular attention should be paid to financial documents. After payment, be sure to demand a fiscal receipt. It is extremely important not to transfer money to managers' personal accounts, since only an official payment document is proof of the transaction.
After confirming the booking and full payment for the tour, the agent is obliged to issue a package of documents for travel.
It includes a voucher indicating the hotel, meals and transfer, air tickets or route receipts, an insurance policy, and a tour code, which is a guarantee of your protection within the framework of the current system of mandatory guarantee of tourists' rights.
