President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reviewed the progress of landscaping of the Myngzhyldyk alley and the second phase of the GreenLine linear park in Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The head of state was briefed on the ongoing work by the akim of the capital, Zhenis Kassymbek.
Second phase of GreenLine
The second phase of GreenLine is being built on the section from Omarov Street to Tole bi Street. The project provides for the creation of walking routes, recreation areas and sports infrastructure, as well as large-scale greening of the territory.
Development of the Myngzhyldyk alley
The development of the Myngzhyldyk alley is also continuing. According to the concept, it should turn into a linear park with a length of more than four kilometers. Individual sections are planned to be connected into a single continuous pedestrian zone.
Presidential instruction
Tokayev gave the instruction to systematically carry out the improvement of Myngzhyldyk in 2023. It was assumed that the alley would become a large green space and one of the calling cards of the capital. In 2025, the president was presented with the landscape master plan of the project.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that Tokayev called ecological culture a task enshrined in the Constitution.
