Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the international AI & Digital Bridge – 2026 forum said that promoting a culture of responsible use of artificial intelligence is of great importance. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to him, artificial intelligence is a global phenomenon. No single state can fully harness its potential alone.
"Kazakhstan consistently supports the advancement of artificial intelligence for peaceful purposes, safely and responsibly. Technology must serve people and be a catalyst for civilization. We will not deviate from this position," Tokayev said.
The President believes that as the capabilities of artificial intelligence expand, so do its risks.
"Cybersecurity, data protection, information reliability, transparency of algorithms, responsibility for decisions made – all these are issues that require immediate consideration. In essence, artificial intelligence can be called a powerful tool of our time, even a weapon. Therefore, whether it brings benefit or harm to world development will primarily depend directly on humanity," concluded Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
