President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Defense Minister Aidos Myrzakhmetov. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the head of state gave specific instructions on strengthening the country's defense capability, enhancing the combat readiness of the Armed Forces and improving the military management system. The President placed special emphasis on the safety of military service.
The President said that preserving the life and health of servicemen must be the main priority for command at all levels.
"The President tasked [the ministry] with improving the quality of professional training, developing military infrastructure, modernizing weapons and equipment, and introducing modern technologies and digital solutions," the statement said.
In addition, the head of state, emphasizing the formation of responsibility, discipline and loyalty to the Motherland among soldiers, drew attention to the need to strengthen educational work in the army.
Furthermore, special importance was given to issues of social support for servicemen and their families.
