President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the newly appointed akims of Atyrau and Ulytau regions. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Akim of Atyrau region Bolat Aksholakov reported to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the socio-economic situation in the region and priority tasks for the upcoming period. The meeting paid special attention to issues of economic diversification, modernization of engineering networks, improvement of transport infrastructure, improvement of the environmental situation, and implementation of projects requiring support at the republican level. The head of state instructed the akim to ensure sustainable socio-economic development of the Atyrau region and improve the quality of life of the population.
Akim of Ulytau region Yesset Baiken reported to the president on the progress of socio-economic development of the region and plans for the upcoming period. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was provided with information on infrastructure development, attracting investments, increasing industrial potential, modernizing engineering networks, and providing quality social services to residents. Proposals for implementing priority projects were also voiced.
At the end of the meeting, the head of state gave a number of instructions aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the region, increasing its investment attractiveness, and improving the quality of life of citizens. The akims of Atyrau and Ulytau regions were appointed on July 17.
