Over the past 7 years, gross domestic product has grown by 29 percent and reached $306 billion. This was stated by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the first session of the National Council of Kazakhstan, according to Akorda. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The volume of gold and foreign exchange reserves and National Fund assets exceeded $138 billion. During this period, more than $162 billion in investment was attracted.
"The share of small and medium-sized businesses in the economy exceeded 40 percent. More than 20 million square meters of housing are built in Kazakhstan every year," the president said.
According to him, since 2019, 1342 schools for more than 1 million students have been built. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the average life expectancy of citizens has reached 76 years. More than 1200 healthcare facilities have also been opened.
"During this time, more than 35 thousand kilometers of roads have been built and repaired. All of this can be called the highest figure in our history," the president added.
As a result of active work, Kazakhstan has joined the ranks of the world's 40 most competitive countries.
