Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has commented on the new procedure for assigning state benefits. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Starting next year, dozens of benefits will be assigned based on the socio-economic situation of each family. The new system is currently being hotly discussed in society.
"Therefore, this complex issue must be resolved in a balanced, serious manner, 'without killing the ox or breaking the cart.' We must not cause damage in an effort to do too much. Any reform must be carried out based on deep analysis, careful study, and maximum consideration of citizens' circumstances," Tokayev said in today's Address.
According to the president, new approaches to social assistance and the operation of related information systems must be thoroughly checked in advance.
"It is best to launch such projects first in a pilot mode and only after their effectiveness is confirmed should they be applied on a wide scale," the head of state said.
In this regard, Tokayev also explained the meaning of a social state. This does not mean making citizens dependent on social payments; it primarily means improving the quality of life and well-being of the population.
