President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has announced when he will reveal the candidate for vice president. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Constitution, the government resigns before the newly elected Qurultai. "Therefore, after the structure of the Qurultai is formed, I will submit to you proposals on the candidates for vice president and prime minister," Tokayev said at the first session of the Qurultai.
Then the president will consult with deputies and appoint members of the government. "In addition, I will appoint a new position – Deputy Chairman of the Security Council. After the full composition of the Qurultai and the government is determined, I will announce the annual Address to the people of Kazakhstan," Tokayev noted.
In the second half of September, the People's Council will be formed. This is the first supreme advisory body in the history of Kazakhstan. The new structure, which unites the ethnic, regional, social, socio-political features of the country, will have the right of legislative initiative. "In fact, this is a unique body," Tokayev said.
According to him, in a short time all major institutions of power will be renewed and give a fresh impetus to the upcoming reforms.
