Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded the winners and prize-winners of the VI World Nomad Games. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
At the ceremonial gathering held at the Palace of Independence, the head of state congratulated the athletes and coaches on their bright victories at the Nomad Games, noting that they had proclaimed Kazakhstan's honor and prestige in national sports to the whole world.
"Competing with athletes from more than 100 countries of the world and raising our blue flag high is a noble quality inherent in true sons of the nation. If we say that our national team fully justified the country's hopes, it would be fair. As president, I express my sincere gratitude to all of you for the inspiring victories you have brought to our Motherland. The entire nation was rooting for you and wishing you well," Tokayev said.
