The head of state sent a telegram of condolences to Venezuelan acting President Delcy Rodríguez. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed condolences to Delcy Rodríguez over the deaths and injuries caused by the devastating earthquake in Venezuela. The telegram reads: "Sharing your grief in this difficult time, I express my condolences to you, the families who lost their loved ones, and the friendly people of Venezuela. I wish the relatives of the deceased strength and resilience, and the injured a speedy recovery and safe return to their families."

Recall that two devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela in succession, with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5. Subsequently, 30 aftershocks occurred. The death toll from the earthquake reached 235 people, with 4,300 injured. A state of emergency has been declared in the country, and search and rescue operations as well as debris clearance are ongoing.
