President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory message to King Charles III of the United Kingdom on the occasion of the monarch's official birthday. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the press service of Akorda, "Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the high level of Kazakh-British relations, expressing confidence in further strengthening strategic partnership between the two countries."
The President also wished Charles III success in his state activities for the benefit of the United Kingdom, and prosperity and well-being to the people of Great Britain.
Notably, the monarch's actual birthday is November 14, when he will turn 78. However, the British king has a special tradition — he celebrates his official birthday not on his actual birthday, but in summer. English kings have done this for several centuries, since the time of George II, who was also born in November. The celebration was moved to hold festivities in more suitable weather.
The monarch's birthday is celebrated in June and is accompanied by grand ceremonies and the military parade Trooping the Colour. The parade involves 1,400 British guards, 200 horses, and 400 musicians.
The procession goes from Buckingham Palace to Whitehall and back along The Mall. After that, the monarch arrives and inspects the troops.
