Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will make a working visit to Avaza on October 8–9. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Akorda press service, the head of state will visit Avaza at the invitation of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
"The head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the invitation of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, will pay a working visit to Avaza on October 8–9," the Akorda statement reads.
The trip's program includes the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, and the Caspian Ecological Summit.
The head of state will meet with the leaders of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, and will also discuss cooperation within the CIS and environmental issues of the Caspian Sea.
Recall that in November 2025, Kursiv reported that the presidents of Kazakhstan in Turkmenistan witnessed the signing of a large package of documents. In total, the countries signed 11 new agreements. And in December of last year, Tokayev visited Ashgabat to participate in the Forum of Peace and Trust.
