President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Prime Minister of Thailand Paetongtarn Shinawatra to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The invitation was made during a meeting in Astana. The parties discussed issues of developing bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to expanding interaction in trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Tokayev noted the high level of relations between Kazakhstan and Thailand, as well as prospects for increasing trade turnover and implementing joint projects. Paetongtarn Shinawatra accepted the invitation and said that work would be carried out through diplomatic channels to agree on specific dates for the visit.

In addition, the meeting covered topical issues of the regional and international agenda, including strengthening security and stability in Asia. The parties expressed readiness to support each other's initiatives.
