ASTANA, July 29 – Sputnik. Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, Tokayev thanked Rahmon for attending the opening ceremony of the international multisport tournament 'Games of the Future – 2026' as an honored guest. The presidents highly assessed the current level of Kazakh-Tajik relations, which are consistently developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.
The sides noted the importance of sustained political dialogue and active contacts between the governments and business circles of the two countries. Special attention was paid to further expanding trade and economic ties, developing cooperation in transport, logistics, and energy sectors, as well as implementing previously reached high-level agreements.
The heads of state exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming joint events in a multilateral format.
