President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed the introduction of artificial intelligence in small-class schools with Li Kai-Fu, CEO of Sinovation Ventures and 01.ai. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the Akorda press service, the head of state said the government had started implementing a project to introduce artificial intelligence into the secondary education system, based on Li Kai-Fu's recommendations and advanced international experience.

Li Kai-Fu reported on the main parameters of projects to introduce artificial intelligence in small-class schools. The pilot project will be implemented in the first stage starting this September in 10 schools. From January 2027, it is planned to be introduced in 60 schools, and in April — in 500 schools.

The President emphasized the importance of scaling up the project and achieving concrete results that improve the quality of education. Special attention was paid to the need for both urban and rural residents to benefit equally from artificial intelligence.

At the same time, the head of state drew attention to the prospects of using artificial intelligence as a mechanism for developing entrepreneurship. During the meeting, a number of initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence and digital transformation were presented to the head of state.
