The Head of State expressed condolences to Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping, the Akorda press service reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a telegram of condolences to Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in connection with the deaths of many people as a result of a devastating mudslide in the Xizang Autonomous Region," the message reads.
The Head of State expressed sympathy to the citizens who lost their loved ones and wished for the speedy return of the missing to their families.
A devastating flood occurred on the border of Nepal and Tibet. The death toll from the natural disaster exceeded 300, with more than a thousand people listed as missing.
