The head of state congratulated Elena Rybakina on her brilliant victory at the US Open and on attaining the status of "world's first racket" in tennis.
The President noted that this success, of historic significance, has made an invaluable contribution to the development of domestic sports.
"After your victories, children's interest in tennis grows, and they enroll in sections in large numbers. It is necessary to introduce the younger generation to sports, because it is very important for their future. Your victories at three Grand Slam tournaments are indelibly written into the tennis chronicle. I believe you will not stop there and will conquer many more peaks," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President particularly highlighted Elena Rybakina's personal qualities.
"You demonstrate composure both on the court and in public. I always say that you have a high inner culture. This is of great importance in terms of presenting Kazakhstan as a civilized and developed state that supports sports, especially tennis," he said.
Elena Rybakina expressed sincere gratitude to the head of state for his constant support, as well as for his special care for the development of big tennis in Kazakhstan.
The world's first racket stated that she is proud to represent Kazakhstan. The tennis player intends to continue achieving high results and delight fans with new victories.
