Tokayev to take personal control of construction quality

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said he will take personal control of construction quality in Kazakhstan. He said this while speaking to participants of the "Taza Qazaqstan" campaign, Akorda reports. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The head of state noted that schools, hospitals, cultural and sports facilities are being built in the regions, and roads and railways are being laid. According to him, this work will continue.

"It is necessary to ensure the highest quality of construction. I will pay the closest attention to this issue and keep it under strict personal control," Tokayev said.

The president added that violators of construction requirements and established rules will be held accountable in accordance with the law. He called improving the quality of life and creating comfortable conditions for the country's residents the goal of the work being carried out.

Tokayev also noted the development of Astana and the work of the capital's akim, Zhenis Kassymbek, and his team. Separately, the president highlighted the capital's Urbanism Center, which develops proposals for creating a comfortable urban environment. According to him, when preparing projects, the center takes into account the opinions and wishes of residents.

"The experience of this institution should be scaled up in other regions. Akims need to intensify work in this direction," the head of state said.

Tokayev called on citizens of Kazakhstan and foreigners to maintain cleanliness in public places and comply with the law. In his opinion, this will help make the principles of "Taza Qazaqstan" part of everyday life.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that Tokayev, together with young people and eco-activists, planted trees in the Presidential Park and called the formation of ecological culture a task enshrined in the Constitution. According to the Ministry of Ecology, over the entire period of implementation of "Taza Qazaqstan," more than 2,000 events were held in the country, over 3.8 million tons of waste were collected, and about 10,000 landfills were eliminated.
