President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the residents of Kostanay region on the 90th anniversary of the region's formation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The head of state noted the rich traditions and distinctive culture of the region, as well as its contribution to the country's development. According to him, over the years the region has achieved significant progress and become one of the main granaries of Kazakhstan.
"Kostanay region occupies a special place in the history of our country. Great educators and thinkers Ibray Altynsarin, Akhmet Baitursynov, Beimbet Mailin and many other outstanding figures were born here. Their selfless service to the people contributed to a significant expansion of the horizons of national spirituality," the congratulation reads.
Tokayev also stated that the region's economy continues to develop, and residents demonstrate unity and patriotism.
As an example, the president cited the participation of Kostanay residents in the republican referendum held in March. According to him, the majority of the region's residents supported the new Constitution.
The head of state thanked citizens who contribute to the development of the region through their work and expressed confidence that they will continue to participate in the implementation of initiatives aimed at building a Just Kazakhstan and strengthening the principle of "Law and Order."
"I wish you good health and further success! May Kostanay region prosper!" the president concluded.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called the current period one of the most favorable in the modern history of Central Asia due to the strengthening of trust and regional integration. The president proposed developing a plan for the practical implementation of the Treaty on Friendship, Good-Neighborliness and Cooperation to develop trade, investment, transport connectivity and humanitarian exchanges.
