The President has dismissed the Minister of Defense, Akorda reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"By decree of the Head of State, Dauren Kosanov has been relieved of his post as Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement reads.
Recall that on September 24, a tragic incident occurred in the Mangystau region.
During open exercises in the Caspian Sea, 17 servicemen fell into the water, 14 died, and three survived.
A commission has been created to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the Ministry of Defense.
