Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed a new head of the Ministry of Defense, the Akorda reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"By decree of the head of state, Aidos Myrzakhmetov has been appointed Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement reads.
He was relieved of his previous position.
Today the president relieved Dauren Kosanov of the post of Minister of Defense.
