President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated his compatriots on Family Day. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In his address, he noted that family is the most important institution of society and the foundation of the state. It is in the family that a person's worldview, moral qualities and national identity are formed.
Tokayev recalled that since July 1 this year, the Constitution has strengthened the protection of marriage, family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood. For the first time, it is enshrined that marriage is a voluntary and equal union of a man and a woman. Also this year, the institution of the Commissioner for Family Rights appeared.
The President emphasized that supporting responsible parenting and creating conditions for children's development is a contribution to the country's human potential, which directly affects its competitiveness.
He wished all citizens of Kazakhstan health, well-being and comfort in their families.
