Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Irakli Kobakhidze held talks, the Akorda press service reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

During the talks with the participation of members of official delegations, the prospects for expanding political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries were discussed. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Irakli Kobakhidze confirmed their interest in implementing mutually beneficial investment projects.

"In particular, as key participants of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, both countries intend to take consistent measures to develop transport and logistics infrastructure, expand container traffic volumes, harmonize tariff policy and accelerate digitalization," the statement said.

Additionally, the following points were noted during the talks: - Over the past five years, the volume of transportation via the Middle Corridor has increased 3.5 times. - By 2029, the number of container trains on this route is expected to reach 3,000. - Kazakhstan is interested in accessing other Georgian seaports besides the port of Batumi. - Last year, a new multimodal terminal was opened at the port of Poti with the participation of a Kazakh investor. - The two countries confirmed their readiness to exchange experience in digital government, online public services and GovTech solutions. - Kazakhstan welcomes the participation of Georgian startups and technology companies in the Astana Hub program and regional technology initiatives.

Special attention was paid to strengthening partnership in healthcare, education, culture and tourism. The President noted that Georgia is one of the popular destinations for Kazakh tourists and said that Kazakhstan is ready to warmly welcome Georgian guests. The head of state also emphasized the importance of supporting cultural exchanges and proposed organizing Days of Culture of the two countries.
