Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his speech at the World Conference on Artificial Intelligence focused on Kazakhstan's strategic advantages in developing artificial intelligence. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The President noted the launch of the Smart City technological platform in the capital. "Soon this experience will be applied in all major cities of Kazakhstan. In addition, we are strategically prioritizing the development of the city of Alatau. It will become the first fully integrated digital city in Central Asia. To attract technology companies, investors and innovators from around the world, including from China, the Constitution defines a special legal regime for the city of Alatau," Tokayev said.

The head of state announced that an Asia-Pacific Center for Digital Solutions for Sustainable Development under UN ESCAP will open in Almaty. "Kazakhstan, as one of the founders of the World Organization for Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence, highly appreciates China's leading role in creating this important platform. We are confident that the newly founded organization with great potential will become a unique international institution determining the future of AI in the world. Holding the first meeting of the organization in Astana would be a great honor for us. In addition, we propose to host the representation of this structure in Central Asia in our country," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

The head of state also put forward a number of proposals on creating transnational digital infrastructure and mutual coordination of policies in the field of AI.
