President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed to prepare for the first session of the People's Council of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The People's Council of Kazakhstan is an advisory body under the president. Its members include representatives of state bodies, non-governmental organizations, the business community, and experts. The council is designed to discuss strategic issues of the country's development.
According to Tokayev's instruction, preparatory work for the session will be carried out jointly by the Government and the Presidential Administration. The exact date and venue of the session have not yet been determined, but it is planned to be held in the near future.
The first session of the Council is expected to consider topical issues of the country's socio-economic development, as well as priority areas of state policy.
