Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will deliver an Address to the Nation of Kazakhstan in October. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The President announced this at the ceremony honoring the winners and prize-winners of the World Nomad Games held in Kyrgyzstan.
"In October, in accordance with Article 46 of the Constitution, I will deliver an Address to the Nation of Kazakhstan, in which I will outline the goals and objectives for the upcoming period," Tokayev stated.
He also noted that with united efforts, large-scale reforms in the country will be successfully implemented, and mentioned the recent elections to Kazakhstan's new unicameral parliament – the Kurultai.
"The composition of the legislative body has been replenished with new, proactive professionals, including many young people. The newly formed Government has started its work. The Secretariat of the Security Council has been established. The composition of the 'Kazakhstan People's Council' will be approved soon. Thus, state-important institutions are being fully renewed. These measures are an integral part of the large-scale reforms we are implementing," the head of state noted.
In addition, Tokayev awarded the winners of the VI World Nomad Games.
