President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a telegram of condolences to Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the death of former Emir, Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The head of state noted that he received the news of the death of the outstanding statesman with deep sorrow and shared the bitterness of loss with the Emir of Qatar, his family and the people of the country.
"Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani is an outstanding figure who laid a solid foundation for the prosperity of Qatar and the well-being of its people, sincerely serving the cause of strengthening international stability. Kazakhs will always remember your father, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa, as a wise leader, an authoritative politician of international level and a historical figure who made a huge contribution to strengthening bilateral cooperation," the telegram reads.
The President emphasized that Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani made a significant contribution to the development of Qatar, strengthening international stability and expanding Kazakh-Qatari relations.
