Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin, will visit Omsk today. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to Akorda, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin, will travel to Omsk on July 25 to participate in the 22nd Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum. A meeting of the heads of state is planned as part of the event.

The main goal of the forum is to strengthen good-neighborly and trusting relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as to deepen social, economic, cultural and humanitarian interaction between the regions. The forum will feature a number of events such as exhibitions, meetings and panel sessions on cooperation and partnership between the countries. Participants will also be able to enjoy an extensive cultural program.

The previous 21st Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum was held in November 2025 in Oral. Hundreds of delegates from both countries attended the large-scale event.
