According to the Akorda, the head of state noted that the elections were an important event in Russia's social and political life, and that the voting results were clear evidence of broad public support for Vladimir Putin's strategic course aimed at protecting Russia's long-term interests.
"There is no doubt that the elected State Duma deputies will adopt effective measures and decisions to improve the well-being of citizens and strengthen Russia's potential as a world power," the congratulatory message says.
The telegram placed special emphasis on inter-parliamentary interaction as an important part of Kazakhstan-Russia allied relations.
The Kazakh president expressed confidence that deputies of the Kurultai and Russian parliamentarians will actively continue joint work to further develop multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries.
