Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, the Akorda reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The President noted that Kazakhstan consistently ranks among Tajikistan's three largest trading partners and highly praised the level of development of Kazakh-Tajik relations, which demonstrate positive dynamics in all areas.

"Following the business forum and special trade missions, the commercial agreements reached are being implemented systematically. At the same time, the annual trade turnover of our countries consistently exceeds $1 billion. Thanks to this, Kazakhstan consistently ranks among Tajikistan's three largest trading partners," the head of state said.

According to the President, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries are also consistently expanding.

"Therefore, there is every reason to be proud and rejoice in the results achieved in mutual cooperation. Today we are participating in a very important event – the opening of the new building of the Tajik Embassy in Astana. This is not just a building, it can be called a complex. All this is impressive and testifies that Tajikistan will have a permanent representation in our country," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

The President of Tajikistan noted that cooperation between the two countries is progressing dynamically in all spheres. According to him, Kazakhstan is among the leading trade and economic partners of Tajikistan.

"Today, more than 130 enterprises with Kazakh capital participation are registered in Tajikistan. And more than 580 enterprises of the Tajik side operate in Kazakhstan. 500 of them work entirely with the participation of Tajik capital. This is a very good indicator," Emomali Rahmon said.

During the talks, attention was paid to further expanding trade and economic ties, interaction in the fields of transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, water resources, industry and digitalization.
