Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a working visit to Turkmenistan, the Akorda reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The head of state thanked the President of Turkmenistan for the warm welcome and hospitality. He also noted that Kazakh-Turkmen relations, based on friendship, good neighborliness and mutual support, are at a high level.
During the meeting, the parties noted positive dynamics in all areas of interaction. "The heads of state discussed previously reached agreements, as well as the implementation of joint promising projects in energy, industry, agriculture, transport and other sectors," the statement said.
In addition, special attention was paid to expanding cultural and humanitarian ties. The schedule of upcoming joint events was also considered.
