President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the sidelines of the XVIII BRICS summit. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Significance of the visit
The head of state noted the historic significance of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit to Astana, during which a substantial package of documents was signed, giving a powerful impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
"Our cooperation is truly multifaceted in nature and covers a wide range of areas. We will continue to make every effort to continue and further develop our joint work," Tokayev emphasized.
Investment projects
The interlocutors discussed the progress of a number of major investment projects that are already being successfully implemented in the fields of energy, transport and logistics, information technology and agriculture. It was noted that these projects will contribute to the development of economic interaction and the growth of bilateral trade volumes.
Following the meeting, mutual commitment to strengthening close cooperation between the two countries was confirmed.
Invitation
Tokayev conveyed his best wishes to the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and noted that he looks forward to his visit to Kazakhstan.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that Tokayev had arrived in New Delhi to participate in the XVIII BRICS summit.
