Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has named the strongest composition of parliament. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
At the last joint session of the two chambers, the president assessed the work of the deputies. According to Tokayev, each convocation of parliament gave a great impetus to Kazakhstan's confident progress.
"On this historic occasion, I express my sincere gratitude to the deputies of the Mazhilis and Senate of all convocations for putting the nation's interests above all and serving the country impeccably and faithfully. I am especially grateful to the current composition of parliament, that is, to you. I confidently say that this convocation is one of the strongest in the new history of Kazakhstan," Tokayev said.
It should be noted that from July 1, the new Constitution of Kazakhstan comes into force. According to it, a unicameral parliament – the Kurultai – will be established.
