President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to President Lee Jae-myung on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Korea. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to Akorda, the head of state noted the cohesion of the Korean people and recalled that after recent talks in Seoul, relations between the two countries reached an entirely new level.

"During my recent visit to Seoul, we elevated bilateral relations to the level of a future-oriented comprehensive strategic partnership. I am confident that this decision will contribute to deepening Kazakh-Korean interaction, based on bonds of friendship and strong partnership, for the benefit of our peoples," the telegram reads.

In addition, the president emphasized that this date symbolizes the rich historical and cultural heritage, national unity and cohesion of the Korean people. He also noted the progressive nature of the development of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

Tokayev wished Lee Jae-myung success in his responsible work, and the Korean people prosperity and well-being.

Recall that in Seoul, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Han Duck-soo. At the meeting, he proposed doubling trade turnover with Korea and preparing a program until 2030, as well as developing peaceful nuclear energy in Kazakhstan.
