Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The meeting focused on the implementation of the "Data Center Valley" project in Ekibastuz.
"The project envisages the formation of computing infrastructure with a capacity of about 30 MW. It is planned to increase its volume to 1 GW later," the statement said.
The President emphasized the importance of agreements concluded with NVIDIA and Firebird companies for the successful implementation of this initiative.
Rev Lebaredian highly appreciated the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure in Kazakhstan and expressed his intention to participate in the next stage of NVIDIA's "Data Center Valley" project.
In addition, issues of developing Kazakhstan's human resources potential and technological ecosystem were considered.
The prospects for developing cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and computing infrastructure were also discussed.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that NVIDIA's role in shaping the global artificial intelligence ecosystem is exceptional.
He also noted the importance of expanding the use of artificial intelligence in priority sectors of Kazakhstan's economy.
In particular, two supercomputer clusters based on NVIDIA technology have been launched in Kazakhstan.
