President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on his birthday. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In his congratulatory message, Tokayev noted the historical mission of the first president in laying the foundation of modern Kazakh statehood, establishing the Republic of Kazakhstan, strengthening the country's economic potential, and consolidating its position and prestige on the international arena.
Tokayev also emphasized the significance of Nazarbayev's decision to move the capital to Astana. "The relocation of the capital to the Saryarka steppe gave a new impetus to the comprehensive development of Kazakhstan. Today, Astana is developing rapidly and becoming one of the most beautiful cities in the world," the message reads.
