President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev explained what true justice means in the state. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"True justice is not about distributing the country's wealth equally to everyone. True justice means building an effective and well-thought-out system that gives equal opportunities to every citizen. Most importantly, everyone must be equal before the law. This is the unshakable principle of a Just Kazakhstan," Tokayev said at a joint session of the parliament chambers.
According to the president, the law on returning illegally acquired assets is a concrete manifestation of that principle. "Under this law, more than a trillion tenge has been returned to the country. Already, more than half of the funds have been spent for the benefit of the people. As a result, over 450 important social and communal facilities have been built," Tokayev concluded.
