Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave an instruction to optimize requirements for teacher certification at the plenary session of the republican August conference. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the President, the national center for professional development "Orleu" was established to provide professional support to teachers. However, today the work of this organization can be considered unsatisfactory.
"I have received many requests from teachers to review the certification rules. Teachers complain about excessive workload and bureaucracy. In this regard, I gave a specific instruction to optimize and improve the requirements for teacher certification," Tokayev said.
According to him, a system that is as clear and transparent as possible is needed. The relevant ministry should deal with this issue and soon provide concrete proposals.
