Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday via telephone. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Akorda, Tokayev wished Mirziyoyev success in his responsible state service for the benefit of the fraternal Uzbek people. Additionally, the President of Kazakhstan noted that thanks to Mirziyoyev's wise leadership, Uzbekistan has achieved great success in socio-economic development and enhancing its international prestige, confidently moving forward through comprehensive reforms.
The head of state highly appreciated the Uzbek leader's contribution to strengthening strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries in the spirit of friendship and good neighborliness.
The parties noted the dynamic development of Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation and discussed prospects for deepening ties in trade, economic, transport, logistics, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The presidents exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda and considered the schedule of upcoming meetings.
