Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The President noted that this holiday, which symbolizes the unity of the nation, sustainable development and confident steps towards progress, elevates the spirit of the Uzbek people.

"The people of Kazakhstan sincerely rejoice at the achievements of fraternal Uzbekistan. We highly value the friendship, good neighborliness and mutual support between our peoples, rooted in the depths of centuries. Our multifaceted cooperation is developing at an unprecedented level, corresponding to the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance. I am confident that further intensification of joint work will multiply our successes and bring Kazakh-Uzbek relations to a new height for the benefit of our countries," the telegram reads.
