President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated poet, People's Writer of Kazakhstan Marfuga Galievna on her 90th birthday. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In his telegram, the head of state noted that the poet dedicated her life to the development of national literature and culture, expanding the horizons of Kazakh poetry.
"You have made the vast Kazakh steppe, deep history, unity and traditions of our people the basis of your inspired and lyrical poems. Readers enjoy your poems and respectfully call you 'The Swan of Kazakh Poetry'. I wish you to continue to be an example for the younger generation and enjoy respect among the people," the congratulation reads.
Marfuga Aitkozha is a prominent figure in Kazakh literature; her poems are widely known among readers. Her works deeply reflect the history, culture, and traditions of the Kazakh people. Various events are held in the country in honor of the poet's anniversary.
