Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed condolences to the families of servicemen killed in the Mangystau region and sent telegrams. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The telegrams were read and delivered by the heads of the Mangystau and Turkistan regions, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai Taganuly and public activists.
The President expressed support for the relatives and friends of the deceased, saying they would receive all necessary assistance, and that those responsible would face the strictest punishment.
In Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's telegram, it was noted that the servicemen would be nominated for state awards.
Recall that during military exercises in the Caspian Sea, due to a sharp deterioration in weather, 17 servicemen went into the sea, 14 of them died, three were rescued.
