Linde GmbH plans to implement new projects in Kazakhstan with potential investments of up to $500 million. These plans were discussed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the company's Senior Vice President Oliver Pfann. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Tokayev welcomed the company's plans. The meeting also noted the signing of an agreement between Linde and Qarmet on the construction of a new air separation unit in Temirtau.
Joint projects in the petrochemical industry
The parties reviewed the prospects for joint projects in the petrochemical industry. The President spoke about the development of petrochemical and chemical clusters in the Atyrau and Mangystau regions and invited Linde to participate in promising projects in these industries.
Carbon capture and hydrogen infrastructure
Tokayev paid special attention to the company's developments in the field of carbon capture and storage, as well as its plans for the development of hydrogen infrastructure. According to him, these areas correspond to Kazakhstan's objectives of transitioning to a "green" economy.
Linde's contribution to the industrial sector
The President also highly appreciated Linde's contribution to the country's industrial sector. The company is among the world leaders in the field of industrial gases and engineering. Its technologies are used in metallurgy, mining, chemical and energy industries, healthcare, the electronics industry and high-tech manufacturing.

Pfann thanked Tokayev for supporting Linde's initiatives and expressed readiness to expand partnership and create new production facilities in Kazakhstan.
Siemens and other agreements
Earlier, "Kursiv" wrote that Siemens is ready to participate in creating the infrastructure of a data processing center in Kazakhstan and to offer solutions for the modernization of power grids, automation and water supply. At the meeting with Tokayev, the joint project of Siemens and Silk Road Electronics to upgrade Qarmet's equipment was also discussed.
During his visit to Germany, Tokayev announced the achievement of new strategic agreements and invited Chancellor Friedrich Merz to visit Kazakhstan on a state visit in 2027.
Following the talks with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the parties adopted a joint declaration. In 2025, the trade turnover between the two countries reached $4.5 billion, and the inflow of German investments into Kazakhstan over 20 years amounted to $8 billion. Steinmeier was also awarded the "Altyn Qyran" order.
