By decree of the President of Kazakhstan, judges of the Constitutional Court have been appointed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the decree, 10 people were appointed as judges of the Constitutional Court:

  • 01Saken Abdolla;
  • 02Leila Sultankyzy Zhakayeva;
  • 03Kairat Tulegenovich Zhakypbayev;
  • 04Aizhan Yerzhanovna Zhatkanbayeva;
  • 05Aigul Kuanyshbaykyzy;
  • 06Kanat Sergeyevich Musin;
  • 07Bakhyt Maratovich Nurmukhanov;
  • 08Sergey Vasilyevich Skryabin;
  • 09Aslan Sultanovich Tukiyev;
  • 10Sergey Fedorovich Udartsev.

It was previously reported that Elvira Azimova had been reappointed to the post of chair of the Constitutional Court.

It is worth noting that these appointments were formalized by presidential decree. The Constitutional Court is the highest body of constitutional review in Kazakhstan.
