President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo on the occasion of the country's Independence Day. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The head of state congratulated his counterpart and the people of Congo on the national holiday and emphasized that Kazakhstan considers the republic as one of its important and reliable partners on the African continent.

Tokayev expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries will continue to strengthen, and joint efforts will help expand interaction in the interests of the peoples of Kazakhstan and Congo.

In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan wished Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo success in his state activities, and the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo well-being, peace and prosperity.

Recall that in September last year, Tshisekedi paid a state visit to Astana, after which Tokayev awarded the Congolese colleague with the Order of Dostyk, 1st degree.
