Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated King Felipe VI of Spain and the Spanish people on the national team's brilliant victory in the FIFA World Cup and winning their second world champion title. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Tokayev noted that the high skill, cohesive team play, and will to win of the Spanish national team impressed millions of fans. "Spain's globally recognized advanced experience in football is an example for everyone. In this regard, I am especially pleased to note the opening this year in Kazakhstan of the academy of the Atlético Madrid club. I am confident that this initiative will give a powerful impetus to strengthening friendship and multifaceted cooperation between our peoples, as well as deepening ties among the youth," the telegram reads.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished Felipe VI success in his noble endeavors for the benefit of the country, and the friendly Spanish people prosperity and well-being.
