According to the Akorda statement, the meeting discussed promising areas of Kazakh-Korean investment and technological cooperation.

Strategic partnership highly valued

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said he highly values strategic partnership with Korea. This was stated in the official Akorda statement.

According to the President, the country regards Hanwha Group as one of the leading business groups with strong international positions in a number of strategically important sectors of the Republic of Korea.

Artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure

The head of state noted that Kazakhstan is taking large-scale measures to build a national artificial intelligence ecosystem and develop digital infrastructure.

The President proposed that Hanwha Group use Kazakhstan as a technology platform for entering the Central Asian market and implement joint projects.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev confirmed Kazakhstan's readiness to expand partnership with Hanwha Group and expressed confidence that the agreements reached would translate into concrete mutually beneficial projects. This was stated in Akorda.

Position of Hanwha Group

In turn, Kim Dong-won drew attention to the fact that Hanwha Group is one of the first Korean corporations to begin cooperation with Kazakhstan in 1997.

He also noted that he received with particular enthusiasm the opportunity to participate in the country's digitalization process and the implementation of various projects.
