President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev considers it necessary to create a state commission to control the spending of budget funds during the implementation of the 'Halyktyq Qurylys' ('People's Construction') program. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

'I consider it necessary to create a state commission to control the spending of budget funds during the implementation of the 'Halyktyq Qurylys' ('People's Construction') program, which was announced by me in the annual Address on October 28. The commission will include heads of several relevant agencies, deputies of the Kurultai and maslikhats, members of the Halyk Kenesi, public figures, activists, volunteers, journalists,' the President wrote on his account on social network X.

Earlier, 'Kursiv' reported that in his address to the people of Kazakhstan, Tokayev declared 2027 the Year of Large-Scale Nationwide Construction.

In his Address to the people, Tokayev also announced the allocation of about 6.5 trillion tenge from the National Fund for large-scale modernization of the country's infrastructure.
