President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev considers it necessary to create a state commission to control the spending of budget funds during the implementation of the 'Halqtyq Qurylys' ('People's Construction') program. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
'I consider it necessary to create a state commission to control the spending of budget funds during the implementation of the 'Halqtyq Qurylys' ('People's Construction') program, which I announced in my annual Address on October 28. The commission will include heads of several relevant agencies, deputies of the Kurultai and maslikhats, members of the Halyq Kenesi, public figures, activists, volunteers, and journalists,' the President wrote on his X social media account.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that in his address to the people of Kazakhstan, Tokayev declared 2027 the Year of Large-Scale Nationwide Construction.
In his Address to the people, Tokayev also announced the allocation of about 6.5 trillion tenge from the National Fund for large-scale modernization of the country's infrastructure.
Thus, the new commission is intended to ensure transparent and efficient spending of funds allocated under the 'Halqtyq Qurylys' program. The inclusion of representatives of government agencies, as well as public figures, volunteers, and journalists in the commission is aimed at increasing the transparency of control.
Recall that the 'Halqtyq Qurylys' program was announced by the President in his Address on October 28. Within the framework of the program, large-scale nationwide construction work is planned for 2027.
In addition, the Address announced the allocation of about 6.5 trillion tenge from the National Fund for large-scale modernization of the country's infrastructure. These funds will be directed to the implementation of infrastructure projects.
The creation of the new state commission should strengthen control over budget spending and ensure the effective implementation of the 'Halqtyq Qurylys' program. The heads of relevant agencies, deputies, public figures, volunteers, and journalists who are members of the commission will monitor the transparency of the program.
Thus, the President's initiative is aimed at ensuring control over expenses within the 'Halqtyq Qurylys' program and strengthening public oversight.
