President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Natalya Bocharova, Secretary General of the International Russian Language Organization. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Akorda press service, during the meeting Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the formation of the Organization as a modern, authoritative and effective structure aimed at strengthening humanitarian ties is highly relevant.
The talks covered prospects for cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev drew attention to the importance of equal consideration of the interests of all member countries of the Organization when implementing joint projects.
According to the President, language should not be a politicized issue, but on the contrary, should serve to unite people and foster mutual understanding.
Natalya Bocharova thanked the head of state for supporting the Organization's activities and provided information about its future development plans.
